NVVH: the safes found in Miklós Seszták's house are not manufactured for private individuals
The National Asset Recovery and Protection Office reported that during a search at the home of Miklós Seszták, a former minister, two large safes were found, typically used by financial institutions. Following his arrest, speculation arose about hidden assets, with claims of 9 billion HUF being concealed. However, only empty safes were discovered. Seszták is accused of accepting bribes totaling 12.6 billion HUF, with the investigation suggesting serious misconduct in his official capacity. His parliamentary immunity was revoked prior to his arrest, and concerns were raised about potential asset concealment if released.
