The NAV is investigating the Logosz Foundation, which is campaigning for Fidesz's Balázs Németh, using state funds.
The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) has launched an investigation into the Logosz Foundation for suspected budget fraud following a report from the Ministry responsible for Social Relations and Culture. The inquiry focuses on publications promoting figures like Balázs Németh and Barna Pál Zsigmond, linked to a potential financial disadvantage of nearly 20 million HUF. The foundation received 30.4 million HUF in support from the Urban Civil Fund between 2024 and 2026, primarily for public information. Allegations suggest that the foundation, associated with Fidesz politicians, used its publications for political campaigning, including promoting Fidesz candidates. The ministry's statement emphasized that the investigation aims to clarify any criminal activity and legal accountability.
