An investigation has been launched following István Kapitány's report regarding the 475 billion of the Kisfaludy Program
István Kapitány announced a police investigation into the Kisfaludy tourism program, revealing serious abuses involving 475 billion forints and nearly 23,000 contracts. The program aimed to renovate Hungarian accommodations by 2030 but allegedly favored government-affiliated hotels, leaving smaller providers struggling. The previous government reportedly spent over 475 billion forints, significantly exceeding initial plans, with more than half allocated through individual decisions rather than competitive bids. The program was managed by the Hungarian Tourism Agency under Guller Zoltán.
