Investigating the new chamber of commerce headquarters purchased from the circle of Márton Nagy’s brother
The Budapest Police are investigating the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's property purchases due to suspicions of mismanagement. The chamber's president, Nagy Elek, stated that the board unanimously approved the purchases, despite some members now questioning the transactions. The chamber spent significant amounts on properties, including 4.2 billion HUF for a new headquarters and 8.5 million euros for another building. A complaint has been filed, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter, although no suspects have been interrogated yet.
