Promised an additional 60 sqm, but misled clients. One million zlotys fine for the developer

The case involves Groen Konstancin I, which built residential homes in Konstancin-Jeziorna. The developer advertised the possibility of expanding living space by over 60 square meters through attic adaptation. However, the UOKiK revealed that the attic did not meet technical requirements for residential use, lacking necessary stairs and being classified as non-usable space. UOKiK's president stated that the misleading advertising could have influenced buyers. Consequently, a fine of 1,176,000 PLN was imposed on the developer, who may appeal the decision.
