The island besieged by Poles wants to raise fees. It will be five times more expensive

According to dziennik.pl, bookings for winter holidays have surged by 148% year-on-year, with Malta being the most popular destination. However, upcoming budget legislation may significantly increase accommodation fees, raising the ecological tax from €1.50 to €8 per night for hotels and €10 for apartments. Additionally, ferry prices to Gozo and fees for visiting attractions like the Blue Lagoon are set to rise. These changes aim to enhance infrastructure and service quality, pending approval for implementation in January 2027.
