Works from the António Homem-Sonnabend art collection will be auctioned for over 46 million euros.

António Homem-Sonnabend's contemporary art collection, featuring works by Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol, will be auctioned in New York this November, with estimates exceeding 46 million euros. Christie's has been showcasing parts of the collection since October, with additional sales planned until 2027. Key pieces include Lichtenstein's "Large Spool" and Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Can (Turkey Noodle)". The auction proceeds will support the Sonnabend Collection Foundation's mission. The collection reflects significant post-war artistic movements and includes works by various renowned artists. António Homem, who passed away in March, played a crucial role in promoting American art in Europe and preserving this important collection.
