The ousted president returns to the county office
Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, former mayor of Częstochowa, is returning to the county office after being dismissed in a referendum. He had been on unpaid leave since 2010 due to his political roles. Matyjaszczyk announced his intention to return within the stipulated time frame following the referendum results. The current county head confirmed that formalities are being processed for his return, although Matyjaszczyk may be offered a different position due to the current deputy's appointment through a competition. Matyjaszczyk faces corruption allegations and has been barred from office for eight months, but he maintains his innocence and claims to be a victim of slander.
