Huge interest in HPV vaccinations. There will be more doses

Poland's health ministry has increased the availability of HPV vaccines, allowing for 20,000 vaccinations for young adults aged 19-26. The second and final batch of vaccines will be distributed until supplies last, with a deadline for new requests set for November 1. Free vaccinations for this age group began on October 1, 2023, and will continue until May 31, 2027. Additionally, a program for free HPV vaccinations for children aged 9-14 has been ongoing for over three years, aiming for a 60% vaccination rate by 2028. HPV is a sexually transmitted virus linked to various cancers, including cervical cancer, with significant new cases reported in Poland in 2023.
