Huge smuggling thwarted at Chopin Airport. Greek citizen detained

At Warsaw's Chopin Airport, authorities intercepted a significant drug smuggling attempt involving 44.9 kg of marijuana hidden in two suitcases. A Greek citizen was unable to provide the code for his luggage during a routine check after arriving from Bangkok. The seized drugs have an estimated street value exceeding 2.2 million PLN. The 33-year-old man has been arrested and faces a potential prison sentence of 3 to 20 years for trafficking large quantities of narcotics. This incident marks one of the largest drug seizures at the airport since a record case in 2012 involving 47.5 kg of cocaine.
