Gasoline has become cheaper, the price difference compared to diesel has increased further

On Monday, the average price of 95-octane gasoline in Hungary decreased by 2 HUF, while diesel prices remained unchanged. Currently, the average prices at domestic gas stations are 640 HUF/liter for gasoline and 721 HUF/liter for diesel, resulting in an 81 HUF price difference per liter. Diesel prices increased by 12 HUF over the past week, contrasting with the decrease in gasoline prices. Meanwhile, international oil prices fell significantly, with Brent crude dropping by 3.7% to $109.23 per barrel due to progress in negotiations aimed at ending the Iranian conflict, alleviating supply concerns.
