Oleschky evacuation: Who is negotiating for Russia and Ukraine?

Moscow and Kyiv have initiated a humanitarian mission in Oleschky, coordinated by Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinez and Russian Ombudsman Jana Lantratowa. Their collaboration has led to productive negotiations, including the exchange of prisoners. Lantratowa, appointed in May, aims to support war participants and their families, while Lubinez focuses on rescuing individuals from captivity. Despite their cooperation, Lantratowa faces accusations from Ukraine regarding child deportations. Both officials emphasize the need for communication and have established a framework for document exchanges amidst broken diplomatic ties. Lubinez also addresses recruitment issues within Ukraine, highlighting corruption and illegal enlistments.
