Unknowns sawed down trees again along the bike path in Beringen: "It's the fourth time this has happened"

Nine trees have been cut down again along the cycling path in Tervant, marking the fourth incident of vandalism. The city plans to file another police complaint and increase patrols. Jessie De Weyer, the local official, expressed disappointment over the repeated attacks on newly planted trees, questioning the motives behind such actions. The city had previously removed old poplar trees due to safety concerns. While preventing vandalism is challenging due to the path's length, the city is exploring ways to catch the culprits, who could face significant fines if apprehended.
