Share location unnoticed or send alarm when date goes wrong: Lindsay develops app and jewel for women

Lindsay Verswyvel developed the DateWatch app and a wearable jewel to enhance women's safety during dates. The app allows users to share their location or send emergency signals to trusted contacts if they feel unsafe. After experiencing sexual violence on a date, Verswyvel aimed to create a solution for women. The app features a free version and a paid version linked to a necklace. Users can send their location, generate fake phone calls, or trigger alarms with simple clicks. The app also includes a safety check feature that alerts contacts if users do not confirm their safety after a date. DateWatch will be available starting December 1.
