They were stunned when they opened the trash can. Someone had thrown a small puppy in there.

A mother and daughter discovered a puppy abandoned in a trash bin in a park. The puppy, around 12 weeks old, was rescued by a city guard and taken to a shelter. Authorities believe the animal was intentionally discarded, which is considered a crime. The puppy, named Krzysio, is now up for adoption.
