Many places affected by strong winds, Schiphol cancels dozens of flights
Severe weather conditions have caused significant disruptions in the Netherlands, including train cancellations and flight delays. A tree fell on the tracks between Lochem and Goor, halting train services. In Amsterdam-Noord, a tree fell on a moving car, and a bus was forced off the road due to strong winds and heavy rain. The fire department is responding to numerous storm damage reports, urging the public to reserve emergency number 112 for life-threatening situations only. Additionally, dozens of flights have been canceled at Schiphol Airport due to high winds affecting runway availability. The KNMI has issued warnings for strong wind gusts, particularly in coastal areas, with a yellow weather alert in effect until various times on Monday.
