Open AI lowers funding target by 10 billion dollars

OpenAI has reduced its funding target from $30 billion to approximately $20 billion, adjusting its valuation from $1.4 trillion to $1.25 trillion. This funding round is presented as a final opportunity before the company goes public, although CEO Sam Altman stated that an IPO won't happen this year due to unresolved issues with autonomous AI models. A consortium from the UAE is expected to be among the major investors, with plans for new data centers in the region. Meanwhile, attention is shifting to Anthropic, which aims to go public in mid-November with a valuation of around $1.5 trillion, amidst concerns about investment risks in AI.
