Opposition announces motion of censure against Tusk's Government

Mateusz Morawiecki, leader of Poland's opposition party PiS, announced plans to file a motion of no confidence against Donald Tusk's government amid a dispute over the Constitutional Tribunal. He proposed a technical government led by Marek Jurek until elections can be held. Morawiecki emphasized the need for a 'restart' of the Tribunal, excluding those currently attacking it. The motion requires support from at least 46 deputies and a majority in parliament. Tusk's government has been pushing for new Tribunal appointments, but the President has only approved two. The political crisis escalated with a judge's unilateral suspension of the Tribunal's president, prompting urgent consultations from the President to address the situation.
