The reconstruction of the Warszawa Wschodnia station will be delayed

The renovation of Warsaw East Station has been postponed to January 17, 2027. During the interim period, trains will operate through Warsaw Central Station instead of Warsaw Gdańska. The project includes the reconstruction of seven platforms, which will be fully covered and equipped with elevators and escalators. Additionally, a temporary platform will be built at Warsaw Stadion station, and a new underground link to the metro will be created. The investment also involves the construction of a road tunnel with pedestrian and cycling paths. The modernization contract, worth nearly three billion zlotys, was signed with Torpol and will be funded by EU resources.
