Pumping ban completely lifted in West Flanders
The pumping ban in West Flanders has been fully lifted due to recent rainfall improving water levels. Governor Koen Surdiacourt announced the decision, noting significant rainfall of 50 to 70 millimeters last week. Although the situation has improved, the drought remains fragile, and water management practices are still necessary to retain water and prevent future shortages. Surdiacourt urged farmers and water managers to implement measures to enhance water retention and infiltration.
