Since May, Anita Orbán has spent one-tenth as much on travel as Péter Szijjártó did a year ago.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reviewed its previous years' expenditures, achieving approximately 30% savings in public diplomacy programs without canceling any initiatives. Minister Anita Orbán announced that these savings amount to nearly 1.2 billion HUF, primarily by eliminating individual air travel services for ministerial delegations and rationalizing operational costs. She highlighted that her ministry spent significantly less on travel compared to the previous administration, with costs dropping from over 25.9 million HUF per trip to under 2.7 million HUF. The former minister had extensive travel expenses, including over half a billion HUF on hotel accommodations during his term.
