Anita Orbán: There are strategic interests that do not change with a change of government
After six months of the Tisza government, a bilateral meeting took place between Hungarian Foreign Minister Anita Orbán and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They signed two declarations focusing on energy security and combating terrorism. Orbán discussed U.S.-Hungarian relations, energy policy, and regional issues in her first interview. The U.S. is a key economic and military partner for Hungary, with significant investments and a strong military presence. The cooperation aims to enhance security and energy supply, especially in light of new terrorist threats. Orbán emphasized Hungary's commitment to NATO and regional stability, particularly in the Western Balkans, while maintaining a non-interventionist stance in other countries' politics. The meeting signifies a strategic partnership and mutual interests in various sectors, including energy and security.
