The final stage of selecting the new Bond. Three actors on the shortlist

According to BBC and industry publications, final screen tests for the next James Bond are set for this weekend, involving three to five actors. Candidates will perform in stunt scenes, on-camera appearances, and dialogues. Initially scheduled for early October, the auditions were postponed due to scheduling conflicts. Among the actors in contention are Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Josh O’Connor, with Lowden reportedly leading the pack. Previous contenders included Aaron Taylor-Johnson and James Norton, but some names have been dropped. The new Bond film is expected to release in 2028, directed by Denis Villeneuve with a script by Steven Knight.
