180 thousand kilometers in five years: these are the cars driven the most – here is the Hungarian top list

A recent survey reveals that 6.6% of used cars in Hungary show signs of intensive use, averaging over 36,000 kilometers annually. The Volkswagen Touran tops the list, with 27.2% of inspected models classified as heavily used. Following it are the Volkswagen Arteon, Ford Kuga, Skoda Octavia, and Skoda Superb. High mileage often indicates corporate use, taxi services, or courier work, particularly in urban settings where driving conditions can be harsh. Identifying previously used work vehicles can be challenging, especially for imported cars due to incomplete data sharing between countries. It's crucial to check maintenance history before purchasing, as a well-maintained car with high mileage may outperform a less driven vehicle with a poor service record.
