Here are the winners of the war with Iran. Oil companies are raking in record profits
The surge in fuel prices due to the US-Israel conflict with Iran has led to significant profits for American oil companies, while consumers face rising costs. From April to September, profits of over 50 major US oil and gas companies exceeded $130 billion, nearly tripling compared to the same period in 2025. Meanwhile, Americans spent an additional $148 billion on fuel during the conflict, with gasoline prices rising by 41% and diesel by 72%. The situation is exacerbated by ongoing refinery closures and the impact of the Russia-Ukraine war, which has disrupted global oil supplies. Despite a recent agreement for Russian diesel exports to the US, experts doubt it will significantly affect the market.
