The president of the Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation was shot at his home

Slavi Binev, president of the Bulgarian Taekwondo Federation and former MEP, was shot dead at his home in Sofia. The police were alerted late Friday evening due to gunfire, but he could not be saved. Authorities later detained three suspects, including one Bulgarian and two Turkish nationals. Local reports suggest Binev had connections to organized crime, including extortion, prostitution, drug trafficking, and selling stolen cars.
