Flooded meadows in Roesbrugge will become a green area with a walking path and observation platform: "Nice tourist addition"

Flooded meadows in Roesbrugge are being transformed into a green recreational area with walking paths and a viewing platform. This 5.44-hectare zone, previously designated for housing, will now serve nature and water retention purposes. The project aims to enhance tourism and provide a green link between the village and the IJzer river. The design plan has been presented to residents, and the provincial government plans to apply for the necessary permits this fall, with construction expected to begin in summer 2027.
