Are you paying for cleaning and still have to do it? Airbnb is finally changing the rules

Airbnb has announced a new policy prohibiting hosts from imposing cleaning tasks on guests that require significant effort or time. Starting November 20, hosts cannot require guests to perform tasks like taking out trash or washing linens, under threat of additional fees. The platform will enforce seven standard rules for rentals, including check-in and check-out times, maximum guest limits, and pet policies. These rules will be clearly displayed to guests before booking to prevent surprises. Hosts must remove any requests that do not comply with the new policy, although they can appeal if local conditions justify certain requests. Cleaning fees should cover standard cleaning between guest stays, without additional charges for uncompleted tasks.
