Pairi Daiza welcomes a new resident next month: giant panda Ran Ran (9)

Ran Ran, a 9-year-old giant panda, will move from China to Pairi Daiza in Belgium next month, joining male panda Xing Hui. Born on May 31, 2017, Ran Ran currently resides at the Wolong Shenshuping Giant Panda Base in Sichuan, China. She is described as gentle and enjoys solitude and tender bamboo shoots. Pairi Daiza has a long-standing partnership with Chinese conservation efforts, having previously hosted other pandas and invested significantly in panda habitat protection. The zoo is excited about Ran Ran's arrival and aims to provide her with a wonderful life in Belgium, although it remains unclear if the pandas will breed.
