Package of changes in healthcare. Here are the new features awaiting doctors
The Polish parliament approved a healthcare reform package aimed at changing employment and remuneration rules for medical professionals. Key changes include a maximum hourly wage of 240 PLN and a monthly salary cap of 76,800 PLN for full-time work. Medical staff must work at least half-time in hospitals, with exceptions for certain specialists. The reforms also enhance transparency in healthcare contracts and expand the powers of the National Health Fund, which will hire around 400 new employees. Additionally, the 'lex Kacprzyk' provision allows for the exclusion of doctors from the public system for falsifying documents.
