Pakistan arrested for large-scale fraud against the American postal service

A man named Faheem Akram was arrested in Pakistan for fraud that allegedly cost the U.S. Postal Service over $126 million. He operated a website selling fake shipping labels to thousands of customers for a low fee, allowing them to send packages at significantly reduced rates. Akram has been charged in Florida, and his website was active from August 2023 to September 2024. He reportedly used sixteen different bank accounts for his operations, some registered under family members' names. It remains unclear whether he will be extradited to the U.S. or tried in Pakistan.
