They hid cigarettes in balloons. They got caught when they came to pick them up.

On October 20, officers from the Warmian-Masurian Border Guard received information about suspicious balloons heading towards Warmia and Mazury. During operations in several counties, they discovered packages containing cigarettes. A total of nearly 660,000 cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps, valued at approximately 680,000 PLN, were seized. Four Lithuanians and one Belarusian were arrested while attempting to collect the smuggled cigarettes. They face charges of tax offenses and violations related to national security, with potential prison sentences of up to three years.
