Parcoursup: at the National Assembly, deputies disagree on solutions to replace the platform

After over a month of student mobilization, the government has proposed to replace Parcoursup by 2028. This announcement, made on October 26, is part of a governmental plan to address the movement and raises the question of what the alternative to the current higher education application platform would be. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has called for a debate without a vote in the National Assembly on October 28 to explore solutions and identify a legislative path. A new law will be necessary to replace the platform, in addition to the technical adjustments promised by the government for 2027 to enhance transparency.
