Núria Parlon, the Interior Minister, stated that the disturbances in Barcelona were organized with the intent to create chaos. She emphasized that there was no legitimate protest behind the events, which aimed to instill a sense of ongoing disorder. Parlon plans to request information from the platforms that facilitated the gatherings and will seek judicial intervention against those responsible for inciting the unrest. She noted that the disturbances were not related to legitimate causes such as education rights or housing defense. Parlon also mentioned the possibility of further arrests beyond the 128 already made, including minors, and criticized political leaders for their responses to the situation.
