Part of Us with Rizal Khadai

The new RTP program features the lives of eight immigrants in Portugal, including Rizal Khadai from Indonesia. Rizal arrived in February 2020 to work as a fisherman in Póvoa de Varzim. He leads a demanding life, balancing long work hours with a community of Indonesian fishermen. Despite being separated from his wife, he has built a life in Portugal, sharing experiences with fellow fishermen, caring for adopted cats, learning Portuguese, and discussing books with his wife. Rizal left behind dreams in Indonesia, including a passion for motocross and a project with his wife focused on preserving rare Cemani chickens. He strives to integrate into Portuguese society while cherishing memories of home.
