Pavilion of Travessas under construction but without a solution for the floor

The Pavilhão das Travessas in São João da Madeira is undergoing repairs costing over €434,000 after being closed due to storm damage. The contract was signed on October 14, with a 60-day execution period assigned to António Pimenta — Construções Lda. The current work focuses on roof recovery, while a previous public tender for interior flooring was canceled due to legal compliance issues. The municipality is now pursuing a direct adjustment for the flooring work, also with António Pimenta. Some local clubs have resumed activities in unaffected areas, while others await the completion of flooring repairs, with the council providing financial support for alternative facilities.
