The town is waiting for McDonald's because there is no pork rib in the McRib sandwich
A federal judge has denied McDonald's request to dismiss a class-action lawsuit regarding misleading consumers about the McRib sandwich. The lawsuit claims that the McRib's patties are shaped to resemble ribs, while they do not contain actual rib meat. The judge noted that consumers should not have to research the contents of a $7 sandwich and agreed that the rib-shaped patties could be misleading, especially due to advertising. McDonald's maintains that their marketing is truthful and that the patties do not contain heart, tripe, or stomach. The McRib has been offered since 1981.
