Perel and Toblerone due to another Toblerone-shaped chocolate

Mondelēz has filed a lawsuit against Catherine’s Originals for trademark infringement, claiming their O’bar product resembles Toblerone. Both chocolates are segmented, but differ in shape, with O’bar being rounded. The O’bar is also priced higher than Toblerone, with a standard milk chocolate version costing £9.20 compared to Toblerone's £2.50. Catherine Dodd, founder of Catherine’s Originals, established the company in 2021 and produces chocolates in Sussex. She finds the lawsuit intimidating but is determined to defend her creation. Mondelēz has a history of legal action over chocolate shapes, previously halting Poundland's 'Twin Peaks' due to similarities with Toblerone.
