Perfume bottle and child’s necklace among treasures found in Pompeii wardrobe

Recent excavations in Pompeii uncovered personal items in a sealed wardrobe, offering insights into daily life before the AD79 eruption. Artifacts included makeup tools, coins, and a child's necklace with charms representing deities. The presence of these items suggests the owners fled quickly during the eruption. Archaeologists are also exploring the Villa of the Mysteries to learn more about the lives of servants in ancient Pompeii. Previous discoveries include a thermal bath complex and a bakery linked to enslaved individuals.
