Pesticides in one group? We know the research results

Recent tests revealed that four out of five grape samples from popular retailers contained between five and sixteen different chemical substances, including pesticides banned in the EU. The highest levels were found in grapes from Turkey, while organic grapes from Portugal showed no harmful substances. Detected pesticides include flutriafol, acetamiprid, and tetraconazole, which may pose health risks despite being within legal limits. Washing grapes thoroughly before consumption is recommended, but it does not eliminate all pesticide risks. The study conducted by the Institute of Horticulture in Skierniewice tested for residues of 557 pesticides, highlighting the hidden dangers in what is often perceived as a healthy snack.
