PGR appeals against court decision that allowed the installation of a tent at the protest in the early morning
The Attorney General's Office is appealing a court decision that allowed a protester to set up a tent overnight in Lisbon. The Administrative Court ruled that the midnight limit for protests is not absolute, enabling Renata Cambra to continue her demonstration for housing rights. The appeal could have a suspensive effect, and if the Attorney General does not want the case to be finalized, it must be taken to the Constitutional Court. The protest is permitted until November 24, coinciding with the final vote on the 2027 State Budget, but must coordinate with the Christmas Market in the area.
