The Russians informed Lithuanian authorities, who noted the individual was walking on the beach without luggage and disregarding warning signs. The Lithuanian border guard expressed surprise at the behavior, as clear signs indicate the restricted area and border line. An investigation into the illegal border crossing is underway, with materials secured for the case. Such incidents are rare, with the last similar case recorded in 2018 from Lithuania to Russia and in 2017 from Russia to Lithuania.
