"The first ship has set sail, more to come soon". Russian diesel is flowing to the USA
The first tanker carrying Russian diesel has departed for the USA, following an agreement between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump that lifted some sanctions. Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the tanker, flagged under Malta, is transporting 40,000 metric tons of diesel to New York. The deal includes plans for 300,000 tons of diesel to be delivered to the US, with exports expected to increase to 500,000 tons in November. This agreement has faced criticism from both American political parties and European Union members, highlighting tensions over the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
