Urgent meeting at the Presidential Palace after events in the Constitutional Tribunal

President Karol Nawrocki returned to Warsaw after a crisis at the Constitutional Tribunal, interrupting his flight to Senegal. He arrived in the capital around 10 PM to address urgent matters, including a meeting with the First President of the Supreme Court, Zbigniew Kapiński, and Bogdan Święczkowski. This meeting was prompted by a decision from Anna Korwin-Piotrowska, who announced a month-long suspension of the Tribunal's president and vice-president. The police were alerted to potential threats to the safety of Tribunal judges and staff. Nawrocki emphasized the importance of his presence in Poland during this critical time, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk highlighted the need to restore the rule of law.
