Urgent message from the Minister of Digital Affairs. Critical vulnerability in PHP, part of the BIP websites disabled
CERT Polska has issued a warning about serious vulnerabilities in PHP software affecting many websites, including popular content management systems like WordPress and Joomla. These vulnerabilities allow attackers to execute arbitrary system commands remotely. All PHP versions from 5.4 onwards are affected, and the only effective protection is to install an updated version of PHP. In response, the Central Computing Center temporarily disabled certain public information bulletin websites to implement necessary security measures. A cybersecurity operational center meeting has taken place to address the issue, and administrators are urged to update their PHP versions immediately. Similar issues have been reported in government websites across several European countries and beyond, including Finland and Japan.
