Piotr Trębicki: Let's also talk about the costs of legal representation before the KIO

In mid-2026, the Public Procurement Office proposed measures to reduce the number of appeals to the National Appeals Chamber (KIO), which have significantly increased in recent years. The number of appeals rose from around 3,500 annually a few years ago to nearly 6,000 expected in 2025. Agnieszka Olszewska, the head of UZP, linked the proposed increase in fees for appeals to a desire to limit their number, citing feedback from entrepreneurs. However, entrepreneurs did not express support for such drastic fee hikes. Additionally, Jan Kuzawiński, president of KIO, commented on this issue in "Rzeczpospolita" on March 9, 2026.
