Hackers attack firefighters' database

The National Census of Portuguese Firefighters database suffered a cyberattack, compromising personal data. The National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) confirmed the breach and suspended the application. Personal information accessed includes names, identification numbers, and health data. The Liga dos Bombeiros Portugueses acknowledged the incident, emphasizing that individual notifications should have been sent. ANEPC warned that affected individuals might face phishing, smishing, vishing, and quishing attempts. Additional security measures are being implemented to protect personal data.
