Breweries under pressure are reshuffling their capacities and leaving traditional locations

Breweries are facing challenges due to declining consumption and rising costs, leading to the discontinuation of traditional brands. In Velké Březno, the Březňák brand will cease production, affecting around twenty employees, while Ostravar will move its production from Ostrava to Prague, impacting about 120 workers. Experts note a decline in the beer market, with younger generations preferring non-alcoholic options. However, the executive director of the Czech Brewers and Maltsters Association believes breweries can adapt to these trends. Many pubs, especially in smaller towns, have also closed, a situation that is welcomed by some doctors.
