Rain, floods and rising waters: one dead near Marseille, one person missing in Haute-Corse
A severe weather episode in southeastern France has resulted in one death and a missing person. Heavy rains caused significant flooding, particularly in the Bouches-du-Rhône and Haute-Corse regions. A 75-year-old man was swept away by floodwaters and later found dead. Rescue operations are ongoing for another individual in Haute-Corse. Commercial flights in Bastia were canceled, and train services were halted due to the flooding. Evacuations took place in several areas, including an elderly care facility. The intense rainfall, linked to a cold drop named Adam from Spain, has led to widespread damage and emergency responses across the affected regions.
