After talks with Putin and Zelensky, the Pope sends an emissary to Ukraine
Archbishop Luis Marin de San Martin, a Spanish Augustinian, will be in Ukraine until October 30, visiting cities like Kyiv and Zaporizhia. His mission aims to emphasize the Pope's commitment to peace following recent talks with Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky about the humanitarian crisis in Oleshky. The Vatican is also collecting aid for Ukraine, including winter clothing and food. Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk expressed gratitude for the Pope's engagement and humanitarian efforts, including the ongoing situation of prisoners of war in Russia.
